Sriman Sadagopan's Kaimkaryam

Dear Bhaktas,

I am at a loss for superlatives to describe the most wonderful
Kaimkaryam for Lord Ranganatha undertaken by Sriman Sadagopan.
His presentation of the Andal-Ranganathar Tirukalyanam
with detailed meanings of the Vedic hymns rendered on that occassion
is a like a shower of Amrutham.

One salutation that particularly impressed me was the hymn
Samraj~i....
This hymn recited in Saama Ganam is most majestic. In it is
contained a benediction for the bride to be an empress in her
new home. This is related to Samrajaya Lakshmi. Prior to her wedding
to the Lord, Pattabishekam was performed for Thayar through a copious
shower from the mighty clouds Pushkala and Avartaka. The one thousand
gold Kalashams for this Kaimkaryam were brought by the Ashta Dikpalakas.
Swami Desikan salutes this aspect of Thayar in verse
13 of the Sri Stuthi. Sri Sadagopan pointed out (in a private
conversation with me) that Abishekavalli Thayar of TirukaNNamangai
embodies this form of Periya Piratti.

Namo Narayana,

Muralidhar Rangaswamy
