Posting a series of articles on same subject

Dear Members,

I have a humble suggestion to make to those who post a series of articles on a single subject. If this is uniformly followed, the task of collating the articles into one compilation will be swift and sure.

i) The title under the heading "Subject" in the emails shd be identical; to ensure this, the member may copy it from the first email and paste it in each subsequent posting. This will help in using the Search facility effectively.

ii) The member-authors may open a file on their Hard Disks and record concurrently the URLs under which the postings have been published by the Group. This itself will serve the purpose of a compilation. When the Series of postings conclude, the member may send this file as the last posting in the series. 

iii) The Administrator of the Group may consider creating/maintaining a separate subject-wise index Page containing the URLs of this last posting for each subject. 

iv) If this procedure is followed as a systems-concept, we will have a ready library-index of articles on major subjects in respect of which individual members have taken considerable effort to conduct research and post erudite articles to the Group. 

A member with technical knowledge of Systems design and Library Science can build further on these sugestions and create a better  model for future use.

Our Archives contain a treasure-house of information contributed by erudite scholars. It will be a great Kaimkaryam (service) if younger members decide to undertake the project of making and publishing compilations of articles which have appeared as a series on individual subjects.
