On this appearance day of SrI rAmAnujAcArya today, 
I would wish to share a few things SrI vEdAnta-dESika

     cittirayil Adirai-nAL vandu tOnRi-k,
     kAsinimEl vAdiyarai venRu,
     arangar gadiyAga vAzhum yati-raasaa !
     mun pUsurar-kOn tiruvarangattu amudanAr 
     un ponnaDi-mEl andAdiyAga-p pORRip-pEsiya
     nal kalith-tuRai nURu eTTup pATTum
     pizhai-aRavE ennakku aruL sey pEni nIyE !   -- prabandha-sAram


rAmAnuja ! 
The best-of-the-saints who dedicated his life to Lord ranga-nAtha!
Who is beloved to the entire world!
Who appeared on citrA-AdrA !
Who prevailed over flawed-philosphers!  [...]
Kindly protect me with perfect knowledge !


Also SrI vEdAnta-dESika describes SrI rAmAnuja variously as follows:

"perum-bhUtUr vanda vaLLal"
The saint from SrI-bhUta-puri who generously distributed
the Lord's Mercy to everyone.

"mutti-tarum-yati-rAsar"
The best among saints, who delivers us from material existence.

jayati yati-rAja sUkti: ! 
    [Glories to SrI rAmAnuja's Divine Teachings ! ]
jayati mukundasya pAdukA-yugali! 
    [Glories to the Lotus Feet (nam-AzhvAr) of Lord Mukunda ! ]
tad-ubhaya-dhanA: tri-vEdIm avandhyayanta: jayanti bhuvi-santa:
    [Glories to vaidika-s who treasure them both]
