   aalamamar kaNdath tharan.        

Thats a pretty interesting take on the word "aRivanaam". There is 
this underlying sarcasm. AzhvAr implicitly means that haran cannot 
(or for that matter, nobody through their own efforts) know Him, 
but doesn't say so explicitly. This is very interesting.

Also the word, pOrkkathavam is interesting. Literally this means 
the huge door that protects the fort during war.This door is closed 
by default and doesn't let the enemies in. Usually it is used to 
mean the doors that cannot be opened. Quite contrastingly, the door that
AzhvAr means here are the 5 senses, which are always open by 
default. And these are the ones that cannot be closed, thus letting
the senses take control of us.
