Dear Sri Srinath, Thank you for your insightful clarifications. My intention in this posting was to show the importance of the object of prapatti, Sriman Narayana, as opposed to trying to develop faith merely in the efficacy of prapatti, as the original question indicated to me. The role of the object of prapatti as being of utmost importance has been elaborated upon by many AchAryans. It seems that in making the posting more of a meditation on the Lord's Greatness and Kindness, I inadvertently failed to describe the absolute and unquestionable importance of the AchAryan as being our only connection to Him. My sincere apologies for this inadvertent error on my part. May I take liberties to state that the gaining of an AchAryan is also due solely to Perumal's katAksham out of His Desire to Save us, indicating further the need for humility and absolute faith in the AchAryan, rather than having faith in our own actions? With all due apologies, adiyEn rAmAnuja dAsan Mohan -------------------------------------------------------------- - SrImate rAmAnujAya namaH - To Post a message, send it to: bhakti-list@yahoogroups.com Archives: http://ramanuja.org/sv/bhakti/archives/ Your use of Yahoo!
