After seeing Vaidehi's post I wanted to post a pasuram about Parthasarathi perumaaL. Here is one from periya thiru mozhi (2.3.9). \bt meen amar poigai naaN malar koyvaan vEtkaiyinOdu senRizhintha kaanamar vEzham kaiyeduth alaRa karaa athan kaalinaik kathuva aanaiyin thuyaram theerap puLLoornthu senRu ninRu aazhi thottaanai thEnamar sOlai maada maamayilai thiruvallikkENi kaNdEnE. \et The urai by Sri Uttamoor Veeraraghava chari brings out two interesting points, I think. (1) 'puLLoornthu senRu ninRu aazhi thottaanai' Here, in his haste to save GajEndran, perumaaL was too fast for Cakkarathaazhvaar. PerumaaL had to stop and wait (senRu ninRu) for 'aazhi' to catch up with Him. (2) 'maada maamayilai thiruvallikkENi' ThiruvallikkENi was part of present day Mylapore! The story of Gajendran has interesting interpretation. It is my understanding that we as Sri Vaishnavaas must think of Gajenthraazhvaar's story each morning as we get out of our beds. Regards, P.
