Context and out of context.

DEAR BHAKTHI GROUP MEMBERS
This is regarding the translation of chitran chiru kAlE by Mr visu and response by Sri GopAlan.

The greatness of Edu and other vyAkyAnams not just lie in interpretations and meanings but interpret in such a manner that a. it is not out of context b. it is not contradicotry to any other verse and c. it has got cogence with the preceding and succeding verses.
In this regard, it may be observed that though grammar is also important other aspects are primary.

I stongly suggest one and all to go through original text of Edu avathArigai for 4-6 'thErpArai yAm ini" thiruvoizhmozhi where a discussion took place regarding why this thErpArai should come after vERRirundhu 4-5 of thiruvoizhmozhi. It was declared by sri embAr that this is asanghadirEva sanghadhi.
Such is the greatness of the commentaries.
We should understand that we are not trying to write meanings are building up a lexicon.
Thank you
Padmanabhan
