Dear Tom

this is to welcome u to this group.U will fnd intersting articles the gist of whiich is to assist all of us to reach the Goal and that can be only one :: to be with the Creator srimad narayana.You will find that we  have immense faith in our "Acharya" ( the Guru) which is one of the corner stones of a true vaishanvaite philosophy.We believe that this is the correct path , a path that has been shown and reverently followed by our poorvacharayas( our  Guru's guru  and so on). 
Each one of us in this group has benefitted immensely by this interaction and we have learned scholars like Shri Sadagopan swamy, Anbil swamy and others .You will be able to get ur questions answered in this forum however rudementary they may be.
On behalf of all  of us bhakthi members, I appreciate ur desire to be a part of our community which is in fact a vishav Kutumbh( a family of the world) and hope that you are able to get what you desired
