1. A good source of reference for this topic and
related  Vaideek samskarams is "Hindu Dharma" is a
book published by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan which
contains English translation of two volumes of the
Tamil Book "Deivatthin Kural" by Sri
Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Swamigal.

2. On the topic of yagnopaveetam, while most grhastas
wear 2 sets, I have seen many Srivaishnava elders
wearing 3 or 4 sets of yagnopaveetam.

Does anyone know the significance of wearing more than
two sets?
