Dear Sri vaishnava perunthagaiyeer,

 In this post of sri vishNu sahasra naamavali we will see naamaas having the common thread of wealth or treasure, glories etc which have equivalent words in samskritham  sree, niDhi, Dhanam, dhraviyam etc.

 According to the Samskrith English dictionary by Monier Williams

 Lakshmi – means good sign, good fortune, prosperity, success, wealth, riches

 Dhanam – means prize, booty, valued object, wealth, riches, property, money, treasure.

 niDhi- means a place for storing, receptacle, treasure.

 Sree – means light, luster, radiance, riches, wealth, treasure, fortune, success properity etc.

 So in this post we will see naamaavaLi with the common thread of wealth or treasure.

 1.      Om sree mathE nama: -- Naamaa no. 22 occurring in slOkam 2 – who possesses sree – of superb beautiful form- who is always with sree.

Naamaa. No. 180 – 19 – meaning: who possesses beauty and splendour – sree means aisvaryam – who is constantly courted by glories is sreemaan

Naama no. 222 occurring in slOkam 24 who is endowed with un-diminishing wealth- sree also means light effulgence, glory.

naamaa 613 [no. of naamaa according to sri sankara-  occurring in slOkam 65] meaning: who possesses all riches glories capacities and beauties- abode of all splendour. [this naamaa sreeman is combined with previous naama shrEya and dealt by sri bhattar as “shrEya sreemaan”]

 2.      Om sree nivaasaaya nama: -- naamaa 185 occurring in slOkam 20. also naama no. 614 occurring in slOkam 65

meaning: for naamaa 185 one who is the permanent abode of sree 

for naamaa 614 – one who dwells and manifests in good people – those who have sree with them.

 

3.      Om sree garBhaaya nama: -- naamaa 378 occurring in slOkam 41 

meaning: he who has lakshmi always with him- containing all glories within him.

 

4.      Om sree vathsa vakshasE nama: -- naamaa 608 occurring in slOkam 65

meaning: one who has the mark sreevathsam in the chest – sage’s foot mark he bears as his wealth – sree.

 

5.      Om sree vaasaaya nama: -- naamaa 609 occurring in slOkam 65

meaning: abode of lakshmi – the wealth – or who is ever with lakshmi. sre vasathi asmin ithi sreevaasa:

 

6.      Om sree pathayE nama: -- naamaa 610 occurring in slOkam 65

meaning: husband of lakshmi – the divine consort of lakshmi

 

7.      Om sree mathaam varaaya nama: -- naamaa  611 occurring in slOkam 65

meaning: foremost among opulent divine personalities – best among those who give glory in life.

 

8.      Om sree dhaaya nama: -- naamaa 612 occurring in slOkam 65

meaning: he bestows glory to lakshmi herself – one who gives sree wealth to all his sincere devotees.

 

9.      Om sree eesaaya nama: -- naamaa 613 occurring in slOkam 65

meaning: the lord of lakshmi- the goddess of wealth.

 

10.  Om sree niDhayE nama: -- naama no. 615 occurring in slOkam 65

Meaning: the treasure of lakshmi- treasure house of lakshmi

 

11.  Om sree viBhaavanaaya nama: -- naamaa 616 occurring in slOkam 65

meaning: one who is distributor of sree. – who owes his greatness to lakshmi

 

12.  Om sree Dharaaya nama: -- naamaa 617 occurring in slOkam 65

meaning: he who bears lakshmi –the wealth within himself.

 

13.  Om sree karaaya nama: -- naamaa 618 occurring in slOkam 65

meaning: he who causes lakshmi to incarnate along with him- one who confers wealth upon his devotees. – sriyam karOthi ithi sreekara:

 

14.  Om anantha sriyE nama: -- naamaa 933 occurring in slOkam 100

Meaning: he who has infinite wealth- one who is full of infinite glories.

 

15.  Om lakshmeevathE nama: -- naamaa 362 occurring in slOkam 39

meaning: the consort of lakshmi – who is inseparable from lakshmi

 

16.  Om lakshmyai nama: -- naamaa 943 occurring in slOkam 101

meaning: one who is wealth richness or glory of the universe.

 

17.  Om niDhi: avyayaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 30 occurring in slOkam 4

Meaning: the inexhaustible treasure – imperishable treasure.

 

18.  Om apaam niDhayE nama: -- naamaa no. 325 occurring in slOkam 35

Meaning: the treasure of waters – who sustained waters of the great ocean when churned.

 

19.  Om amBho niDhayE nama: -- naamaa no. 520 occurring slOkam 55

Meaning: he who established himself as tortoise in deep waters of the milky ocean = direct meaning is ocean.

 

20.  Om mahaa niDhayE nama: -- naamaa no. 812 occurring in slOkam 86

Meaning: he who treats great souls as his great treasure – the richest treasure of all his devotees.- the great abode.

 

21.  Om Dhana eesvaraaya nama: -- naamaa 475 occurring in slOkam 50

meaning: who confers wealth on his devotees immediately – the lord of wealth.

 

22.  Om Dhanam jayaaya nama: -- naamaa 666 occurring in slOkam 

meaning: who collects wealth – who surpasses wealth.

 

23.  Om dhraviNapradhaaya nama: -- naamaa 575 occurring in slOkam 61

meaning: he who confers wealth of scriptures and scriptural knowledge.
