Today , the 29th of October, 2001 (Aippasi – Utthirattaadi) is
the 
thirunakshatram day of Srimath Thirutthuraippoondi Andavan, one of 
the illustrious Acharyas of Srirangam Srimath Andavan PeriAsramam.  
Let us recite  His dhanian on this auspicious occasion.

Srimath gOpAla soorEr niravadhi karuNAvAptha sathsampradAyam 
Srimath vEdhAntha rAmAnuja yathinrupathis sarvatha: sTHApayithvA 
Yasmin sathsampradAyam sakalamupadhishan amsathO nupravishTa: 
Srimath sreevasa rAmAnuja munimanagham tham BHajE dEsikEndhram

Thirutthuraippoondi Andavan also known as vilakkudi andavan hails 
from vilakkudi, a small hamlet near Rajamannargudi and belonged to 
EYUNNI vamsam and Bharadwaja gothram .

He learnt all sampradaya granthas from  Srirangam swamy, H.H. 
Vedantha Ramanuja Maha Desikan also known as Vazhuthur Andavan. He 
had prapatti done at  lotus feet of almighty by H.H.Srimath Vazhuthur 
Andavan. He was also initiated into the sanyasa asramam  by H.H. 
vazhuthur andavan and was given the title "Srinivasa Ramanuja
Maha 
Desikan". 
 
Many erudite scholars learnt the sampradaic granthas from Srimath 
Thirutthuraippoondi Andavan , most notable among them being Sri 
Raghavachariar Swamy(who later became the famous Srimath PeriAndavan) 
who  was initiated into sanyasasramam by Srimath  Thirutthuraippoondi 
Andavan.
