  Respected Sir,

Namasthe. Our government is completing two years shortly. Two years of your rule was fine and I am sure in remaining period you will take Karnataka to number one slot in India.

Sir the purpose of my mail is an article came in the New Indian Express today regarding the plight of Melkote & Temple and I am sending you the article duly scanned which is self explanatory. For Sri Vaishnavas the temple of Melkote is one of the 108 divya shetra which a Vaishnava must see. On behalf of our Community I am sending you this email.

As a congressmen I am bringing the problem to you directly. I know Melkote is in your district and I am sure the Melkote will have new facilities in the Coming Season of Vairamudi Seva & Brahmaustava in March-April 2002. People face lot of hardship and there in no proper bus facility and the frequency is very less, Then proper lighting is also not there. Even during the Vairamudi festival light are lit and once VVIP & VIPS leave the light is switched off.

I am sure the government will take all steps to develop the Melakote as Tourist spot and KSTDC will put Melakote also in the tourist itinerary and The Lord Cheluvanarayana swamis glory will be known in the globe.

It is said the Vigraha of Lord Cheluvanarayana was taken away by a Delhi Sultan and gifted to his daughter for playing,Our Bhagvan RamanujaCharya went to Delhi to bring back the Idol .He asked the Sultan to give back the idol and sultan told it is with his daughter and Acharya can take the idol if he calls and the idol comes. For that Acharya Sarvabhoma prayed to lord and told "Varay Chella Pillai", to the surprise of all the Lord (Vigraha) crawled and came into the arms of Acharya and he restored it back in Melkote. So such is the power of LORD CHELUVANARAYANA ".

Apart from it Ahobila Mutts, First Jeer's Brindavan is also there.

The heading of the article says " Development: Temple town Melkote prays for divine intervention" I Believe in saying " Deyvam Manushya Rupena" and sure under your regime the Melkote will achieve the Glory.

  Sorry for the inconvenience.

  With warmest Regards
  L.Sridhar
