Being from the same place, I can certainly second this topic. No one can
express the sweetness of Parthasarathy and Narashimar Utsavams. The Ghosti,
The Brahmatosvams (Particularly Garuda Sevai, EEsal). I have been brought
up in that environment compeletely. I know people who participate in the
Ghosti, Living in different parts of india, Would take 10 days off just for
coming to Brahmotsavam. I know Lot of "Non Brahmin" people who can recite
the entire Satturmurai. They just learnt it in the process of living in the
4 streets.
Even thought I live in the US, When I go back the first thing I do is visit
the Gigantic Parthasarathy and thank him for everything. Similarly there is
not a time that I have felt that I am going to miss seeing this god until my
next visit. Everyone of my friend, When they visit india, I advice them
strongly to go to Parthasarthy Temple.
I got so fortunate enough that I bought a flat just opposite to the temple 6
years back. Infact people say its "fortune", That house was bought by a
Muslim and seeing the co-owners of the flat are all 'Hindus' plus he was not
allowed to cook non-vegetarian, He offer to sell the house within a month
and the Flat promoter asked us first. We felt very bad the previous night,
Talking over a moonlight, How did we miss the opportunity and the next
morning we got the call. I still cannot believe this incident, But I am
living in that house for the last 6 years.
I am sure the feeling is the same across the board for all Tiruvallikkeni
people. For those of you who have not visited the temple, Please do so
whenever you get a chance.
I am sorry If I havent presented it correctly.
