Short introduction.  I'm 17.  It's my senior yr in
high school here in the US.  I'm born into a Vadagalai
Iyengar family and I have no clue abt anything.  I do
stuff, because that's the way I was brought up.  I
know not why we do the stuff but I just do it.  for
example, I know Sahasranamam word for word, but I have
no clue what it means.  I just am clueless on a lot of
matters.  I guess, I have no understanding of what it
really means to be a Vishnavite and I don't understand
the point of a lot of thing...like Samasranum, and
praying only to Vishnu and things like that.  In my
house, I was taught to pray to any God I chose and
visit any temple I chose...IS IT WRONG?  As I am
exposed more to orthodoxy, it seems irrelevant, but
I'd like to know more, before I make any judgement on
anything.
