 Dear member,
You can reach melkote from Mysore more conveniently  , otherwise if you prefer to take public transport you may take a bus to Mysore from Banglore and get down at Jakkanna halli , which is at the starting point of the hill to Melkote . From Jakhanna halli you have lot of buses or mini vans which make trips into the town frequently . Another convenient route is to reach Mandya and take a bus from there directly to Melkote .
