Daer Sri Badrinath:

There are many sthalams visited by
our AzhwArs , who for one reason or another known to them
did not perform MangaLAsAsanams thru their dhivya Prabhandhams.

Some of them are ancient temples . They have been
popular with BhakthAs . Some did not exist in
AzhwAr's times.

A case in point is ThirunArAyaNa Puram or Melukote.
AchArya RaamAnujA had a dream and freed ThirunArAyanan
Moolavar from inside His residence in an ant hill ,
consecrated a temple for Him and performed worship there
for dozen years. Thus it was affiliated with a great AchAryan
and became a center of learning. BhagavAn there became the object of
His dear devotees AbhimAnam ( One meaning of abhimAnam is
affection , desire). AzhwArs , who preceded BhagavAn RaamAnujA
could not have performed MangalAsAsanam , even if they wanted to .
I tis considered however that one of Swamy NammazhwAr's
Paasuram (decad) is considered a mangalAsAsanam for
ThirunArAyaNan ( Oru NaayakamAi decad : 4.1.1 ).

MannArgudi Raajagopala Swamy temple, GuNa Seelam Temple
(PrArthanA Sthalam ) , GuruvAyUr Temple and others
became abhimAna sthalam in this tradition.
