Dear Bhagavatas:

Smt. Vishnupriya Chari is a personal friend of mine. She is the wife of Sri 
Chari, who retired as Chief Secretary of Pondicherry Government. The whole 
family is extremely pious and totally unassuming.

It was at her suggestion that I recited for 48 days the Paduka Sahasra 
Slokam"Subha Pranadha" and miraculously the marriage of my daughter got 
fixed by the time I completed the 48 days' recital as advised.

This lady has actually written on Sri Lakshmi Narayana Hridayam from Atharva 
Veda, a powerful mantra capable of bringing and keeping up Lakshmi Kataksham 
permanently, the Narayana Hridayam being recited before and after Lakshmi 
Hridayam sandwitching Lakshmi in between!. I gave a talk on this Stotram 
during the first SDDS Conference in 1996 at Buffalo.

Another one is Sri Narayana Kavacham, a powerful mantra to ward of evils and 
foes. Yet another one is this Sri Varaha Kavacham. She has written on many 
more rare Stotras. One will be struck by the depth of her study and lucidity 
of expression that even a lay person can understand, recite and see for 
oneself the efficacy of the mantras. I would welcome all Bhagavatas to 
acquire these books (all published by Lifco)
