dear friends,

I visited 'tirumala' -- my native place -- last week.

I saw the Ahobila Mutt complex coming up on the sacred hills. The structure
is in the final stages of completion.

It a sprawling, magnificent piece of architecture combining modernism and
tradition.

The first sight of it takes one's breath away.I can imagine how imposing it
will look when it is completed shortly. 

I remember the old Mutt complex in the "veedhi" close to the temple and that
was vacated in favour of the new one. While that one may definitely have had
hoary history on its side, it is simply no match to the splendour of the new
architecture --- which too will make NEW HISTORY in times to come !!
