Mangalagiri can be reached easily from Vijayawada and is on the
way to Guntur. This punniya kshestram is one of the five Nrusimha
kshetrams that lie alongside the Krishanveni river. The other four
are VedAdri, Mattapally, Vadapally and Kethavaram.

Mangalagiri is also referred to as Bhatragiri and Bheemathri.
EmperumAn Sri Lakshmi Nrusimhan has abodes both on top and bottom
of the mountain. It is believed that Bheema worshipped here.
Also believed that the Lord was given milk in kruthayugam, honey
in threthAyugam, ikshusAram (sugarcane juice) in dhvAparayugam
and kudOthagam (pAnagam) in kaliyugam.

Its true that even the ants and flies are wellbehaved in not
swarming the pAnagam before nivEdhanam. But they start gathering
around as one descends the holy abode.

44th Jeer of Sri Ahobila mutt in his SripanjAmrutha stOtram writes

  MalOlam praNi pathyAham
    svarna SriNruharimthadhA
  *mangalAthri ramAsimham*
    krushNam narthanagOvitham

Nrusimha bhaktAs visiting Mangalagiri may also want to visit
Aahiripalli (32 Kms from Vijayawada) aka ShobanAdri to have
dharshan of RajyaLakshmi Samedha Sri VyAgra Nrusimhan (puli mukam).
