All Alvars are Sri Vaishnavas. I am sure this is what
Ramesh meant. Anyone who believes that not just Narayana
alone but Narayana eternally associated with Lakshmi (Sri)
is the supreme goal is a Sri Vaishnava.

Nampillai's words from the "eedu" commentary on
thiruvaaymozhi: "aaSrayaNa veLaiyOdu bhOgaveLaiyOdu
oru mithunamE uddeSyam"

At all times, even when we seek refuge, and in their
enjoyment of our performing service, Narayana and Sri
are forever together.

This naturally makes all our Alvars and acharyas Sri Vaishnavas.
