Shri Keshava Prasad wrote:

"It will be interesting to note the verses from the well known "Purusha Sookta" 
extolled as the authority
for describing the greatness and perfection of the Adi Purusha, whom 
SriVaishnavas believe to be Sriman Narayana. This is important because Mani 
mentioned Purusha Sukta in passing. "

Dear Prasad:

Not only SriVaishnavas beleive that the Adi Purusha addressed by the Sooktam is 
Sriman Narayana, but a number tantric and agama texts belonging to Saktas and 
Saivas say the same thing.  It is a well  established fact that the Purusha who 
is described as "Hrishchathe Lakshmi cha Pathnyau.." is none other than Sriman 
Narayana.  It is not a Sri Vaishnava creation.  Thanks.
