Re: Doubts on Golden Deer

In one of the upanyaasams, I have heard that, Maricha had an earlier
tryst with Rama when he went to protect the "yagnas" of Vishwamitra.
Maybe that could be one reason, why Ravana chose him.

Regarding, Rama going personally, firstly Rama's virtues are
uncountable, supreme, his logic par limits. He could have easily
reasoned out that there's really no such thing as a "golden-deer". It
is simple logic, it is an illusion (maya). But he didnt apply his
logic there because, it was his beloved asking him something and he
had decided to get it at any cost.

But more than that, when Piratti asks him, he goes Himself.

When His "beloved ones" seek help, He goes "himself". He doesnt
delegate. But when he wanted to build an Ashram, it was his work, so
he got this done through Lakshmana. But if it is a problem or a
request of a beloved (or devotee) he goes himself.

There's a story from Akbar & Birbal also, about Akbar jumping into a
pond to save his son, rather than asking someone to do it. Birbal
only dropped a statue, but proved to Akbar that God also goes himself
to protect and take care of his beloved ones.

Rama always wanted to see the smile on Piratti's face and would go to
any end to make it happen. This time, he chased the golden-deer
himself.
