In this respect,a sanyAsi faces numerous restrictions which could
even inhibit their ability for bhAgavata kainkaryam.

But I feel that there cannot be a restriction on anybody to do bhAgavata
kainkaryam based on the Asrama. The standing example is Sri Nanjeeyar
(sanyAsi) doing kainkaryam to Sri Bhattar (gruhasta). In fact there is a
legend that once a Sri Vaishnava asked Nanjeeyar that, being in
sanyAsasrama, is it right to do kainkaryam to a gruhastha? For which, Sri
Nanjeeyar replied, " I am doing kainkaryam to my AchAryan. I do not care
about his AsramA. However if you feel that there is an injunction that a
sanyAsi should not do kainkaryam to a gruhasta, here, I will renounce my
sanyAsam and take up gruhasthAsramam". Now, as is evident, Sri Nanjeeyar
never gave up the sanyAsam but was doing kainkaryam to Sri Bhattar through
out the life time.
