Dear bAgawathAs,

On 25th morning the morning sun has already come to Newyork  early
to be present for the pinnacle occasion  of that day. For  some of
us including adiyEn the night was all day as  the  "vizhigaL" were
merely looking east and keeping it  open  and  waiting  for sun to
rise. The entire city and the world was awake as well. Sri  bAlAji
bhattar  arrived  in  the  late  night  from Boston. This  day has
finally come. we have been working very hard for the last 4 months
for this uthayam. When it was very  early  in  the morning "thirup
paLLi ezhucchi" and "nityAnusandhanam" were  done.  EkAnthra thiru
manchanam was performed for Sri namperumAL and Sri nammAzhwAr. The
gOshti began at  9:00 Am and the gOshti  was in its full strength.
During the agala  killEn  pathigam, the gOshti was very emotional.
At the end  of  that  pathigam  Sri  nammAzwAr's  saranAgathi  was
symbolised  by  adorning sadAri to all the members  of the gOshti.
Sri nammAzwAr and all  the  AchAryAs  were  seated  now   straight
opposite to and about 25 feet away from Sri Ranganatha. The goshti
was  between  them.  Sri  nammAzhar  was  adorned  with  perumAL's
vasthram when he went back after  thiru manchanam. Sri nammAzwAr's
ascendance  will  be done with the perumAL's vasthtram on Sri namm
AzhwAr.

The gOshti continued until the end of the onbathAm (9th)  pattthu.
sARRumurai was  performed with the agalakillEN pAsurams. While the
gOshti was almost over, the thiruk kalyAna ursavam of SriSrinivasa
perumAL and HIS  consort  was  performed.  Many  bAgawathALs  came
forward to sponsor the thiruk kalyAnam.

During the  afternoon,  a  classical  dance program and devotional
songs were performed  in  the  NAMA  event. In the afternoon there
were 375 bAgawathAs.  In  the  evening  the  nityAnusanthAnam  and
gOshti began as per the time. The gOshti completed the 8 pathigams
and stopped prior  to  "soozh  visumbum"  pathigam.  By  then more
bAgawathAs began  to  arrive.  Sri nammAzwAr and all AchAryAs were
now moved to the end of the hall in the same  posture  as  it they
are all still having the darshan of the perumAL.
