Sri Sadagopan swamy pranamams,
Adiyen was going through the bhakti-list archieves and came across a posting
done by you about Mantras, Mantra Siddhi and tantras. Can you furthur explain
about Mantra Siddhi and tantraas.

I get occasionally questions on Mantraas.
Number of participants in this group are 
worshippers of Sriman Narayana through His
Moola Mantra or other Upasana Murthys like
Sri Lakshmi Narasimha, Sri Hayagreeva ,
Sri Lalitha Parameswari , Ucchishta Gananpathiet al.
The questions have been
about the source literature on mantras and Mantra Saastraas.  
I will make  a few observations about the Mantras, Mantra Siddhi
and Source literature for those, who want to follow up on this subject.

1. Mantras and Mantra Grahanam is best , when received 
from a proper Achaarya. For instance , Lakshmi Nrusimha Mantram
from Ahobila Mutt Jeeyar, Hayagreeva Mantram from Para Kala
Matam Jeeyar, Pancha Dasaakshari or Maha Shodasi from
the Peetathipathis of Sankara Mutt  . Those, who received the Mantra 
from the proper Acharyas can also perform Upadesam.
 
2.Mantra Siddhi results, when the Acharya  Svaroopam 
blends with the Upasana Murthy. Many blessings happen to
those , who attain Mantra Siddhi. 

3.  Mantra is derived from the word Man* ot think . It is difficult to
