108 Divya Desam Project

From the Bhakti List Archives

Dear Members:
I am delighted to let you know that the
book by Sri.T.P. Ramanujam with the
photos / art renditions of 108 Divya Murthys
arrived today by fast post from Madras. With
great anticipation, I took a quick look at the
product of the commendable work. The printers have
done as good a job under the circumstances. It is a
pleasure to see all the Murthys (Some times Utsavars,
Some times Moolavars, Some times Calendar reproductions
and artists' renditions) in one place. I think the availability of
superior Technology and the enthusiasm of the members of the
group is going to help us produce an outstanding
CD ROM (or two !). I am reasonably confident about that.
We have already some beautiful color Photos.
There are ideas in the book (eg) Naimicharanyam,
that is worth emulating. The Malayala Desa emperumans
are difficult to decipher. We have a lot of work to do.
But with the blessings of Divya Dampathis , we will
make progress. I will be sending Sri Dileepan the book
by this weekend . Some negotiation with the Publishers
by Sri K.Srinivasan would be of help to use cove rthe gaps
in our collections.

Anyway, it is a great day today to have the Darsana Bhagyam of
the "Archa Murthys" of 108 Divya Desams.

The english version , I am told will be ready soon.We have
what we need for our project as reference material.
