Dear Shri.Shreekanth,

In Tamizh , Markazhi is the month which is totally dedicated for Spritual activities.This month everyone MUST get up early morning i.e.,before sunrise and devote himself to Lord Narayanan. One has to chant Sree AndaL's Thiruppavai , which is auspicious.

I  think in malayalam also ThiruPpavai available, kindly check where you belong to. Many Palakkad Brahmins chant the same by reading malayalam way !!! If not possible atleast you can chant Vishnu Sahasranamaam ! that would be ideal for your devotion towards Him !
