Personal Introduction.

From the Bhakti List Archives

Namaskaarams to all.

I chanced across this list a few months ago and truly feel that it is a
great blessing to listen to the enlightened members here. I was born in
Madras, into a family with strong Sri Vaishnavite traditions, originally
hailing from Kanchipuram, and I recall vividly my grandfather being chided
by the younger members of our family, for his unshakable insistence on
attending the Garudasevai every year despite problems posed by his
health. For the sake of formality, I am a graduate student in Electrical
Engineering, specializing in Digital Signal/Image Processing.

I recently came across a link that distressed me very much. Even though I
certainly do not believe the claims made there[and frankly find them
preposterous to say the least], and feel that there will always be such
claims by misled people, the so-called 'evidences' used by them, include
our Azhwars and Ramanujaacharya. Chapters 15-18 were particularly hurting.
I would be very obliged if the knowledgeable members of this list could
shed some light on this. The web site in question is
http://www.dalitstan.org/books/tirupati/tirupati.html.

Thank you very much.

sincerely,
    Pavithra.
