Sri Amudhan SamprOkshanam and ChAthur mAsya sankalpam - Part 7

Due to lack of adequate protection from weather,
these structures were wearing out. These plates will not only
protect them from exposure but also beautify the structures as
similar to thirupathi and Srirangam. Part of the funds for
this came from a group of local donors. The rest of the funds
approx. another Rs 30000 is earmarked for the most famous
ghathai "pin puRam" of ursavar. This gathai & chakram were all
stolen 4 years ago and were never recovered as it is. It is
said that the local JC of the district HR and CE has ordered
that the rest of the money collected for the temple, close to Rs800,000
that remained after all expenses after maha samprOk
shanam be kept in FD for supporting the needs of the temple
running and it is said that this FD went in to place atonce.

More than approx. 35 bhakthALs from USA and Cananda,
15 from Singapore, 20 from Bahrain and another 10 or so joined
from India. adiyEn profundly thank each and every one of you
for this overwhelming support. This was like "whirlwind effort"
collection made in just a matter of 25 days. To the best of
adiyEn's knowledge this was probably the largest collection
(R 4.5 lacs) ever made in a very short span for any divya
dEsam using electronic media and telephone calls. This would
not have been possible without the help of Sri V.Sadagopan,
Sri Mani, Sri Sudarshan, Sri Chari, Sri MadhavakaNNan whom all
worked tirelessly helping adiyEn steer this effort. Each and
every one who contributed must feel proud for this joint
effort.

I thank SVSS for coming forward to support this kainkaryam
readily, voluntarily and as well promptly. The co-ordiantion
between SVSS officials Smt Nagu Satyan and Sri Rajaji and Smt
Vimala Rajaji was very excellent, professional, and timely.
But for them the monies would not have reached the intended
so quickly and in time. adiyEn thank them profoundly and pray
to Sri kOmaLa vaLLi thAyAr and Sri ArA amuthan that they and
all others who participated in the kainkaryam be blessed with
"sakala sowbAgyam" in their families, for generations to come.

note: This somewhat detailed expenses reporting is done for a
few purposes. First everyone who contributed must know where
their moenies are going. Second, every one must understand
how much efforts are needed to do a samprOkshanam like this.
In thiru kudanthai this is done after 34 years. Besides every
SriVaishnava must understand the overall costs incurred (Rs20
Millions or 2 crores) to do this for one temple such that one
will raise up to support any divya desam when it needs such
help. Finally it is more than important to understand that
though this 4.5 lacs is a meagre percent of the overall money
spent (Rs 2 crores), even to raise this, we needed a well
united effort by bhakthALs from all over the world.
