As answer to the forwarded Question ,
DhOsha PourNami ( PourNami with Chandra
or Surya GrahaNam ) is unfit for UpAkarmA
for ONLY THE PRATHAMOPAAKARMINS (Those who
are having their first Upaakarmam as a result
of having Upanayanam the year before ).
For all the rest , there is no restrictions on
performing Upaakarmam today ( Yajur Vedins ) .
Same rules apply for Rg Vedins , who perform
UpAkarmam on SravaNam day instead of PourNami day .
I have posted a note on the day for the observance
of " AvaNi avittam " for the three groups ( Rg , Yajur
and Saama Vedins ) recently .It will be in the archives ,
when they get updated .
On GrahaNa vimochanam ( end of the eclipse for Lunar eclipse)
SnAnam is done . During eclipse , TarpaNam is done .
Homam and Dhaanam are done by the very strict
observants in India during GrahaNa kaalam .
Those ladies , who are pregnant do not go out
during the period of eclipse .
