dear bhAgavathAs,

adiyEn would like to add to what srI. sadagOpan svAmi and srI. maNi
wrote on the thennAchArya parampara -

There are numerous maTams that are part of the thennAchArya parapmara,
the main ones being 
1. vAnamAmalai jIyar maTam
2. thirupathi chinna jIyar/periya jIyar maTams
3. srIragam srIranga nAraNa jIyar maTam
4. srIperumbUdUr ethirAja jIyar maTam
5. srIperumbUdUr embAr jIyar maTam
6. kAnchIpuram azhagiya maNavALa jIyar maTam
7. AzhvAr thirunagari emperumAnAr jIyar maTam
8. thirukkuRungudi jIyar svAmi maTam
9. thirukkOvilUr emperumAnAr jIyar maTam
10. thirunArAyaNapuram yadgiri yatirAja jIyar maTam
11. srI. tridaNdi china jIyar svAmi maTam

{One key note about thennAchArya maTams - Most of the thennAchArya
maTams were established by either emperumAnAr or svAmi maNavALa
mamunigaL -
and the main role of the jIyars were defined to be kainkaryam and
paripAlanam of the temples situated in the divya dEsams where the maTam
is present - vAnamAmalai maTam is a very special maTam - That maTam's
first
jIyar svAmi - ponadikkAL jIyar svAmi was a direct disciple of svAmi
maNavALa mAmuni. This maTam, in addition to performing paripAlanam of
the vAnamAmalai temple, also has the mantle of darsaNa pravarthakar 
passed on by svAmi maNavALa mAmuni to ponnadikkAl jIyar svAmi}


In addition to the maTams, there are numerous AchArya paramparAs that
trace their lineage back to one of the 74 simhAsanAdhipathis - Some main
thirumALigais (i.e. the ones with most following) are 

1. svAmi mudaliyANdAn thirumALigai
2. kOvil kandAdai aNNan thirumALigai
3. pratiAdi bayankaram svAmi thirumALigai
4. bhattar thirumALigai (parAsara bhattar lineage)

These thirumALigais can be more than one in number - i.e. different
branches
of the same family could have settled in different divya dEsams - a
prominent
example is the prativAdi bayankaram thirumALigai - there is a branch
in kAnchipuram (that had great stalwarts in the past 100 years - gAdi
anantAchAr svAmi and aNNangarAchAriar svAmi) and there are many branches
in the thirunAngUr divya dEsams -

adiyEn requests more knowledgeable bhagavathAs  to add to the above
list.

Then there are AchArya purusha paramparais - These are families that
again
trace their lineage to one of the 74 simhAsanAdhipathis, but
traditinally,
these families generally (there are a few exceptions) 
did not do panca samskArams to people outside the
extended family (because emperumAnAr had specified certain
simhAsanAdhipathis
to do that kainkaryam, the other families had other kainkaryams assigned
to
them by emperumAnAr) - adiyEn belongs to this kind of an AchArya
parampara - adiyEn is very fortunate to be born in a AchArya purusha
family
that traces its lineage to svAmi anantAzhvAn - {Swayam AchAryA family,
the term
that is generally used is a synonym of AchArya purusha family} -
the thirumALigais also are called AchArya purusha families - 


The thennAchArya lineage from svAmi emperumAnAr and later is as follows
-

1. svAmi emperumAnAr
2. svAmi embAr
3. svAmi parAsara bhattar
4. svAmi nanjIyar
5. svAmi nampiLLai
6. svAmi vadakkuth thiruvIdhip piLLai
7. svAmi piLLai lOkAchAriAr
8. svAmi thiruvAymozhip piLLai
9. svAmi maNavALa mAmuni

then vAnamAmalai maTam continues -

svAmi periyavAchchAn piLLai was the approximately the same time period
as svAmi vadakkuth thiruvIdhip piLLai - svAmi azhagiya maNavALap perumAL
nAyanAr was the brother of svAmi piLLai lOkAchAriAr - both of them were
sons to svAmi vadakkuth thiruvIdhip piLLai.

[ the ahObila maTam nitya guruparamparA anusandhAnam has till svAmi
vadakkuth thiruvIdhip piLLai in it  -
i.e svAmi embAr- svAmi parAsara bhattar - svAmi nanjIyar - 
svAmi nampiLLai and  svAmi vadakkuth thiruveedhippiLLai.
According to periya thirumudi adaivu, the samAsrayaNa parampara for 
svAmi adivaN saTakOpa jIyar goes like this - svAmi adivaN saTakOpa 
jIyar - svAmi garudAchAriAr - svAmi  iLampiLisaip piLLai - svAmi 
vangIpuraththu Achchi -(??)-..svAmi vadakkuth thiruvIdhip piLLai -  a
diyEn could not trace back from svAmi vangIpuraththu Achchi - can 
knowledgeable members please be kind enough to clarify?]

AzhvAr emperumAnAr jIyar thiruvadigaLE saraNam
adiyEn madhurakavi dAsan,
thirumalai anandAnpiLLai varadhan
