Sixth dip in the glory of YathirAja!

Dearest Sisters and Brothers,

Enjoyment of our sixth dip is continuing with Swami DesikanÂ’s YathirAja Sapthathi:

SlokA 41 describes: Those who read Sri Bhasyam and other Sri sookthis of Sri YathirAjar, have the fragrance of such Sri sookthis imbibed in their minds. Such PoorvachAryars and other Srivaishnavas have been blessed with such greatness of AchArya Sri RamanjuaÂ’s Sri Sookthis. I keep the Lotus Feet of these Srivaishnavas on my head in full reverence.  

But, on the other hand, the other non vedic religious people who, out of their false pride and misinterpretations, and do not believe in Sri RamanujaÂ’s great philosophy, deserve only being pressed down with my left foot on their heads. This capacity, I am blessed with due to my AchArya sambhandham and the greatness of his Sri Sookthis. 

In the next slOka, Swami Desikan says: Oh my mind! For ages, you have been committing only apacharams and mistakes and have been leading a wrong life. Now the only way to remove our great samsaaric sorrows and karmic diseases that have accrued enormously, is only in one way.  That is to join the single track of Ramajua sampradayam. Follow that track and be saved. Even if you deviate form it, little, you will lose track and go haywire. You immediately join it and be saved. If you do that adhering to the Ramanuja sampradayam in the strictest manner, then you will get the grace of Sriya: Pathi Sriman Narayanan. All your sins that had caused a great hurdle on your spiritual path, will get a heavy beat from YathirAjar. It is simple to follow the doctrine of SaraNAgathy that Sri Ramanujar had taught us.  (It  may be noted that the single track that Swami refers to is the AchArya paramparai that has gloriously started from Sriya:Pathi down to Ramanujar. The Paramparai is Emperumaan S!

riya:Pathi - Sri mahAlakshmi - VishvaksEnar- Sri Sadagopar- Nathamuni- UyyakkONdaar- MaNakkaal nambhi- Alavandhar- Periya Nambhi and Sri Ramanujar. That single track is the only way out of the dark jungle of samsara saagaram. Otherwise there is no way to get out. Follow the laid down track, by our PoorvAchAryars and be saved! What a description by Swami Desikan reverberating the glory of AchArya Paramparai and that of Sri Ramanujar!)
