Sri RAma Jayam
SrimathE RAmAnujAya Namaha

Dear All,
I am gita(a research student in aerospace engg),a devotee of
Sriman NArAyaNA and EmperumAnAr. My maternal pUrvIham is
ThirumAlirumsOlai and paternal pUrvIham is ThiruvEngadam. Being a
srivaishNavite, I'm interested in bhakti/praptti and also EmperumAnAr's
various commentaries. I try my best to chant daily some pAsurams from
NAlAyiram,Gadya Trayam,VishNu SaharanAmam.

I have zero knowledge(zero can't be defined either
qualitatively/quantitatively) but surely I would like participate in
some of the discussions. My humble request to people of knowledge is
that they put their question in simple words(In recent threads I saw
some discussions going on the topic "JIva" & "Atman". My understanding
of the question is whether they mean the same or not acc. to different
interpretations,am I right). I read van Buitenan's "Sri Ramanuja's
interpretation on the Gita with Yamunacharya's Gitartha Samgraha" and I
really liked it and have read different versions of the Gita. I have so
many questions on the vEdas(wrt brahman, women, sudras and what Bhagavad
Ramanuja exactly says along these lines). Right now I'm reading VedAnta
SUtras by Badarayana with a commentary by Baladeva. I would love to
read(atleast see it so that I get moksha like Uddhava said about
GOpika's love for KriSNa)the original Samskrt texts(commentaries)of Sri
Ramanuja. Where can I find them?

This is a wonderful place to gain knowledge. My sincere pranAms to Mani
Varadarajan.
