Lord RanganAthA's MahA SamprOkshaNam : Pushpam &TuLasi Kaimkaryam during the Five days of the Auspicious Uthsavam

Since adiyEn's appeal on April 15 for joining in 
the TuLasI and Pushpa kaimkaryam for all the Sannidhis of 
Lord RanganAthA's Temple at Pomona , NY during the forthcoming
MahOthsavam in May , following bhakthAs have come forward
to help reach the target goal of raising $1,000 each for
these two Kaimkaryams:

on the importance of the TuLasi and Pushpa 
Kaimkaryams to the Dhivya Dampathis at the different
Sannidhis during every day in general and on
the MahA SamprOkshaNam occasion in particular.

Swamy NammAzhwAr on Pushpa Kaimkaryam

In His Ninth & Tenth decads of ThiruvAimozhi(TVM), 
Swamy NammAzhwAr takes time to perform these UpadEsams , 
although  He is in a big hurry to ascend Sri VaikunTam 
and join the Dhivya dampathis to perform nithya Kaimkaryam
there.He points out the easiest way for BhakthAs 
to get rid of their troubles diseases and
sorrows as the Bhaddha Jeevans . Here are some 
excerpts from His Upadesams:

TVM.9.10 decad on ThirukkaNapuram PerumAL

The TVM translations are from Dr.V.N.vedAntha Desikan:

" The Lord is deeply attached to His devotees. You 
people should show intense devotion to Him and pay homage , 
morning and evening ,say His names with Lotus flowers at 
the feet of the Lord...If You do so, all your troubles 
and diseases will be totally exterminated , because Your sins 
(which cause these ill effects ) are removed. For this , 
You go to the Lord at ThirukkaNNapuram , where the sea waves
are near enough to dash against the temple walls." TVM 9.10.1

"People devoted to a devotional way of Life! Think of 
the Lord in Heart ! Perform worship with fresh honey-
exuding flowers at the shrine every day. Pay homage and 
prostrate to prosper! TVM: 9,10.2

" If You perform with single-minded devotion --that is, 
You ought not to have any attachment to any goal but perform
service for justifying Your Svaroopam or nature as the Lord's
dpendent and dasA --then all grief will vanish! TVM:9.10.3 

" PERFORM WORSHIP WITH FLOWERS ,WHAT I SAY IS IMPORTANT:
THAT LORD IS YOUR PROTECTOR. REMEMBER THIS ..TVM: 9.10.4

" The Lord grants His Sri Vaikunta Lokam to whomsoever 
that has surrendered at His feet. HE IS DEVOTION INCARNATE.
Then What more worry ? " TVM: 9.10.5

NOW, Swamy NammAzhwAr's gaze turns to another Dhivya Desa
EmperumAn at another sea side : Thiruvananthapura EmperumAn.
He continues with the UpadEsam in TVM 10.2 decad about 
the easy way to melt the heart of the Lord through 
the peformance of Homage with pushpa/TuLasi samarpaNam .

Swamy nammAzhwAr is in a great dhvarai (hurry ) to
ascend Parama Padham. He takes time yet to bless us
with His UpadEsam: "Even a small Kaimkaryam to the Lord 
will banish all samsAric sorrows ".

" PLEASE PAY HOMAGE TO HIM WITH FLOWERS , WELL INFORMED
BY DEVOTION , PIETY ,CONCENTRATION ETC, IN STRICT ACCORDANCE
WITH RULES .WHAT FORTUNATE PEOPLE THESE ARE ! PRAISE THEM ,
ADORE THEM WITHOUT HESITATION!" .. TVM: 10.1.4

" Those who have earned PuNyA with Pushpa Kaimkaryam
to the Lord reciting the names of the Lord would serve 
the Lotus feet of the Lord (at Sri Vaikuntam ) and surely
are equal to Nithya Sooris"..TVM : 10.1.5

" To Our Lord at Thiruvanathapuram , we should always 
perform kaimkaryam with sandal paste, lamp, incense,
lotus flowers and the like , in a proper form , without
harboring any boon in return ; those who are able to do 
so are virtually Nithyasooris , of infinite fame"..TVM:10.1.10 

ALL THE OTHER AZHWARAS HAVE EITHER DONE TULASI / PUSHPA
KAIMKARYAM ( THONDARADIPPODI, ANDAL, PERIYAZHWAR) OR
HAVE PERFORMED UPADESAM FOR US TO REACH LORD RANGANATHA'S 
SACRED FEET WITH FLOWERS AND TULASI TO WORSHIP HIM .

Some exemplary slOkams of other AzhwArs in this context are:

"niharillA PaimkamalamEndhi PaNinthEN"...BhUtham,
Second ThiruvandhAdhi: Paasuram 4 ( I worshipped 
the Lord with matchless Lotus and other flowers).

"Makutam ThAzhtthu vaNanguminkaL TANNMALARAAL "
--Naan Muhan ThiruvandhAthi of Thirumazhisai: Paasuram 11
( Praise Him with Your tongue, Prostrate before 
Him and offer Him Lovely, fragrant flowers in devotion).

PoocchUttal paasurams of PeriyAzhwAr:PeriyAzhwAr 
Thirumozhi: entire 2.7 decad ( SeNpakam , Mallikai,
Paadhiri, Semkazhaneer, Punnai, Kurukkatthi,
IruvAtcchi , Karumuhai Flowers).

ANDAL: Soodikkoduttha NaacchiyAr Paasurams 
on TuLasi and Pushpa kaimkaryam

PerumAL Thirumozhi of KulasEkharar: 2.8

" ArangatthammAnekkE maalayuRRidum THoNdar
Vaazhvukkku MaalaiuRRathen nenjamE "

Elsewhere , KulasEkharar salutes the devotion
of those ThoNdars , who perform TuLasi /Pushpa 
Kaimkaryam at the sacred feet of the Lord as:
"Paadha Maamalar Soodum Bhakthi" and declares 
his Serviude to those BhaagyasAlis.

Thus , it is our BhAgyam to folow the path shown
by AzhwArs and AchAryAs and perform Pushpa/
TuLasi Kaimkaryam to Lord RanganAthA and
Sri RanganAyaki and cover their feet with
fragrant flowers and fresh TuLasI ( AanUpra
Paryantham).

Please join in this kaimkaryam and be with 
the BhAgavatha GhOshti during this Consecration
Uthsavam during all the five days of celebration.
