Dear Bagavatas,
   Recently I visited the Sarangapani temple in Kumbakonam. The temple has
mangalasasanams by four Alwars,
viz Periyalwar, ThirumazisaiAlwar, Namalwar and Thirumangai alwar.

   Namalwar, addresses the Lord of this temple by the term
"AravAamudhan" in ThirvAimozi . This divyadesam is also called as
ThiruKudanthai. The Lord offers sEvai in
Kidantha ThirukOlam.
  The Sannidhi of SriArvAamudhan is in shape of a chariot.

  The Chirthari Car festival of this perumal is supposed to be held in first
week of May. This year due to lack of funds, the authorities of the temple
have made an open appeal for devotees to contribute for this festival, so
that the festival can be held.

 I personally felt that it is the responsibility of all Sri Vaishnavas to
contribute generously so that the festival can be conducted as planned (and
as been conducted for centuries). The contributions can be in form of
DD/Cash/Cheque and can be addressed to,

   Sri Sarangapani Swami Devasthanam,
   Kumbakonam - 612001.
   (Tanjore District).
   Tamil Nadu.

  Please mention that the contributions is towards the
Cithirai Thaer Festival.
