(c. 1165–1275) also known as Vātsya Varadaguru and in Tamil, Naḍādūr Ammāḷ.

Important philosopher and theologian of the Ramanuja school of Vedanta. His lectures form the basis of the Srutaprakasika, Sudarsana Suri’s famed commentary on the Sribhashya.

Famous Works

  • tattvasāra - a summary in verse of each topic (adhikaraṇa) of the Brahma Sutras.
  • Prapanna Pārijāta - an explanation of the doctrine of self-surrender.
